Continuing with the Mediterranean theme... this is by a photo taken in the Tunisian arts-and-crafts village of Sidi Bou Said, located near the site of ancient Cartage.
Blaga I just love your Mediterranean paintings , you really do them well. There is a beautiful light , it appears so sunny, and I imagine these people are tourists discovering the narrow streets. Beautiful colors too. xx
Thank you, Judy! I also like how the people turned out. Maybe will use this approach more.
Thank you, Lydie! Yes, I have been focusing on simplifying the subjects and loosening up - not always successfully. It will be fun following each-other's progress.
Thank you, Renate! What better time for a hot sunny scene than in the middle of the winter :)
Thank you, Evelin, I am glad you like it!
Thank you, Jane! I decided to cover most of the white walls with light orangey-pink, and instead of killing the light, it seems to have intensified it.
Tante grazie, Tito! Io sono contento che ti piace questo dipinto.
Oh this is beautiful, Blaga! The sunny atmosphere, and I love the loose way you put in the people! Very nice!
ReplyDeleteLovely watercolor Blaga, and it's nice to feel the sun. I see you also looking to simplify.
ReplyDelete~Hello Blaga! Very nice! The little details and the shadows are so nicely done! Seeing this I'm getting in the mood for a holiday:)
