Rookiepainter challenge 37

Arches, 30 x 23 cm
This was my third and relatively successful attempt at the Rookiepainter challenge this month. I wanted to paint this loosely, but I kept covering spots, that needed to remain white, causing ugly backruns or simply creating mud.
I also had another reason to paint a rose today, for another Rose, very dear to me, on her birthday. Let there be roses!

    Blaga, this is really truly lovely. My mother loved roses and had a huge garden full of them when I was growing up. You are well beyond Rookie!

    Hello Blaga:) Your rose is beatiful. The whites in it were very difficult, I struggled on them too. Your background is lovely soft!
    Btw: you've got a lot of words underlined in your comments (I don't know if you see them too). If you push them you will be redirected to an commercial site. Do you have a virus in you computer?
