I have been planning to paint this scene for a while. Its challenge is in the rug. I wanted it to be the focal point, so I had to put enough detail in it. Yesterday I had a whole day off, and decided to give it a try. There is much to be desired. For example, I could have thought over the colors of the surrounding objects to create a better contrast. But on the other hand, this is my first painting with this large size, so I'm happy with it.
Oh Blaga, this is fabulous! Please be very happy with it! I cannot imagine all the work that went into it, such a vivid scene!

A palette that recalls perfectly the particular places where you can buy rugs that reflect the colors of the carpets themselves .Well done!.... What else? Of course you can paint other masterpieces, all the ones you want! But be happy about this!Hugs!
Hello Blaga:) I find this quite nicely. The image shows something out from ordinary life; buy, sell, taste, décor. That makes it very familiar. The colors are beautiful aligned. In real life, with that size, it is still much nicer! Very nicely done!

ReplyDeleteWow, Judy, thank you! It wasn't that much work. I spent a couple of hours on the back- and foregrounds. Then it took me a few hours to paint all the patterns on the carpet, but I found that sort of relaxing :)
