A couple of studies of cascading foliage, to play with greens and with
different shapes. Although I did them without pencil and much
preparation, once I got to the actual leaf shapes the looseness started
to disappear. Still, I like some parts and areas of these watercolors, and I'm learning stuff from doing them.
Hello Blaga!Beautiful foliage with negative painting!I love it!
ReplyDeletehi Blaga very nice study of the leaves. I would love to paint leaves alone but my use of greens sometimes i feel is too much.here you have shown how you balanced it.
ReplyDeletethankyou
nanda
Beautiful work with the shapes and good use of the greens ;)
ReplyDeleteHola Blaga :) ¡¡Estupendas acuarelas!! Feliz fin de semana. Sonia.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful negative painting, Blaga! And nice greens in there!
ReplyDeleteCiao Blaga,
ReplyDeletemi sembra ben realizzato l'effetto delle foglie in negativo e cosa sempre molto positiva è la tua ricerca pittorica.
Ciao, ciao, Floriana
I know, this beautiful result needs a lot of preciseness and patience. Well done!
ReplyDeleteI love both of them, the mix of looseness and detail is a win win !
ReplyDeleteHi Blaga, two beautiful works with nice compositions and a wonderful range of greens. I like them. Have a good week! Ciao.
ReplyDeleteMe gustan, especialmente cómo has trabajado el salpicado de color en la segunda acuarela.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rita!
ReplyDeleteNanda, I myself was surprised how much pure blue and red (and of course yellow) I used here, without loosing the overall green of the foliage. Thank you, for your comment!
Thank you, Lydie!
Gracias, Sonia, me alegro mucho de que te guste!
Thank you, Judy! I needed to do some negative painting, as I tend to avoid it whet it gets to that :)
Grazie, Floriana, per il tuo commento e per il tuo incoraggiamento nei miei tentativi di ricerca!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Irina!
I would have like if the scale was tilted towards the looseness, but I very glad you like it, Jane!
Thank you, Tito, I appreciate your feedback!
Thank you, Sergio! I wasn't sure about the splashes, I thought I went overboard with them. Glad you don't think so :)
Hi, Blaga,
ReplyDeleteI love the second one more. Are these leaves in water? (*In my eyes, they are in water. If so, it's a technically very difficult subject). Very sensitive and detailed -- your lovel personality -- turns out successful. Congrats!!
Cheers, Sadami
Two beautiful studies Blaga with lots of expression.
ReplyDeleteHi Blaga:) I think you did a great job here. I feel a bit of magic looking at those paintings. Beautifully done!
