During these holidays I spent quite a lot of time with my brushes, trying to regain the happy feeling of creative work. After a long break painting didn't come natural. My Muse was sitting in the corner pouting. She complained that I've been ignoring her for too long. OK, OK, I'll give her time to come around, no promises though...

It has been a busy summer. I have been split between a large project at work, an out of control veggie garden in my yard and a great summer weather for outdoors activities. I finally found some time to go through the photos from my Tuscan vacation in May and found plenty that just have to be painted. Hopefully, the inspiration doesn't leave me again for months.

It has been a long pause for me. I was very busy lately, having no physical and mental energy left to paint, but everything has been all right, otherwise. Finally a long weekend and a chance to get beck to the subject of the sea...

Watching the waves

I just came back from a short vacation in tropical Riviera Maya, where I spent much time trying to capture the shapes of sea waves in my sketchbook. There is something very relaxing, almost therapeutic in watching the waves.
Now, back to work and catching up with the real world...
