Lynn, I'm so flattered by your comment :) I'm really glad you like these paintings.

Thank you, Rita! The sea is really so inspiring!

Thank you, Isabelle! I actually quite struggled with these particular figures. They were gaining weight with every attempt to fix them. But in the end somehow they came to life :)

Judy, Tito, Jane, Lucia, thank you all for your really nice comments! The colors of the sea were truly fascinating, and I did not exaggerate them at all in the two paintings. And i still want to paint these blue and green washes...

The color of the wet sand and of the water is really well seen. Good job on these two paintings.

I like very much the way you can use the paper when creating the white spots on the water. Wish I could do that too <3

Those sea colors are stunning. Is it pthalo blue? They are lovely and transparent and you have captured the white caps on the waves in such a natural way.

Lydie, Floriana, Cathy, Pierre, Elvi, Annilux, Jean, thank you all for your comments!
Jean, the blue I used is Prussian blue, it is similar in shade to phtalo, but has even deeper dark tones.
