Better of the two landscapes. Wetterhorn in the distance is more vivid here. The meadows and coniferous surrounding them look better, too. The shadows of the trees closest to the photographer are also improved.
Thank you, Popokatepetl for the feedback. I am also much happier with the second one – its colors are lighter, fresher and more vivid. And overall it is done with less fiddling and fussing. You are right, it is painted from a photograph, a good one at that.
