Night in Seville

Night in Seville, watercolor 54 x 42 cm
Night in Seville, watercolor 30 x 25 cm
Two versions of the same night scene. The top one, which was the second one, I painted after watching one of Castagnet's videos I have. This really helps me loosen up my style and to paint faster. Well, not as loose or as fast as the master, and by no means as good :)

Hola Blaga. muy hermosas las dos acuarelas, la última más fresca y con menos detalles, en ambas se aprecia la noche y su iluminación. Saludos!!

Both are beautiful nightscenes, Blaga! The impression of night is very good. I love watching the masters, to see how they solve problems that I encounter in painting.

Hello Blaga:) Wow these are stunning.I have them enlarged on my computer and they are amazing. Beautiful style. Did you a pre-draw first? How much time did it take to paint one? Very nice!!xx

Thank you, Jane!

Thank you, Rita! Alvaro is a great artist to aspire to. My result, of course, couldn't get nearly as loose or fluid as his paintings.

Thank you, Renate, for your very nice words! Yes, I definitely had a pencil drawing first. I wouldn't be able to do an architectural painting without a drawing. Each of these took me about an hour and a half to two hours. Alavro would have finished one in 15 minutes while the paint is still wet and colors can merge. Well, that's something to strive for...
