Portrait sketches

Portrait study in graphite and crayon
Portrait study in charcoal and crayon

I am trying to stick to my decision to paint or draw something every week. While dedicating a few hours to that this weekend seemed like a tall order, I opted for  doing these sketches over coffee. I am starting to really like drawing on tinted paper and using white crayon for highlights. It brings instant dimension.

Oh, really lovely, Blaga!! Good on you. Yes, continuity is important like you said and have fun. Your work already shows your lovely personality, kindness, too. Let us enjoy weekly or daily drawing. Look forward to your work. Best wishes, Sadami

They are gorgeous, Blaga, I love them! Using white is a great idea, very effective! Good that you are getting back into a routine of drawing and/or painting.
