Snowdrops!!!

Yes, there are snowdrops in the garden! This last week, for the first time in more than a month, we had a few days with temperatures above freezing. The strong wind yesterday melted the snow in the backyard and revealed tens of little snowdrops that have been growing under the white cover. The flowers are not fully open yet. I now hope that we get some snowfall to cover them again, as there are minus teens in the forecast for next week, which may frost-burn them.

Lovely snowdrops :) Its's the second week when we have cold over -10. And it's getting worse the next... so the spring with snowdrops is far far away. Nice to see, the spring is showing it's signs somewhere :)

Thank you, Judy and Egle for visiting and commenting. I am not particularly happy with my rendering of the snowdrops, but I'm really happy with what they represent.
Egle, sorry to hear that it's still so cold up there, but you know, snowdrops have the habit of surprising us after just a few relatively warmer days. So, maybe they will show up sooner than you think...

I like this watercolor so much. So tender.
