Crocuses

These crocuses are painted after a photo I took in someone else's garden. My crocuses are eaten by a rabbit. He keeps shaving them clean as soon as they show above the ground. On one hand I find it funny that Bunny had crocuses for breakfast. But on the other I think "Oh you, Rabbit, why didn't you eat the flowers from someone else's garden for once!" Oh well, I like having some wild life around, and this is a small price to pay for it...

Hi, Blaga,
Congrats on this painting. Not only subjects, but also middle and backgrounds look nice. And you're very kind. Live and let live... or an early Easter bunny?!
Cheers,Sadami

Bright and beautiful, Blaga! Really pretty! I think the yellow crocuses are very tasty, here the birds like them very much. The purple ones they leave alone, funnily enough.

These crocuses are lovely and the texture in the foreground is so interesting.

Maybe the bunny wants to be painted...? He eats the crocuses so you can't paint them anymore?
Your painting is beautiful!

Thank you for your comment, Tito! I slightly exaggerated the bright orange to make the flowers pop.

Thank you, Sadami! Well, I'm pretty sure I won't get chocolate eggs from him ;)

Thank you, Judy! I have learnt not to fight with nature, but rather plant what thrives, and not cry over what doesn't. So the crocuses will probably get replaced with other spring bulbs, which rabbits don't like.

Thank you, Lydie! Thank you Asit! I did spend quite some time on that textured background, glad you like it.

Maybe you are right, Renate! I'll have to catch him in the act and snap a picture :) Thank you!

....but it is still a bit annoying :-)) In my summerhouse in Denmark I have deers in the garden who eat my roses, and even if I love deers I'm really not happy to find empty rose bushes :-(
But luckily we can always paint them, and these are beautiful and sunny, love the foreground , too.

Yes, Rita, this is a positive way to look at it :) Thank you!

Grazie, Elvi!

Oh, the roses! That would really annoy me too, Jane. And it is much harder to protect plants from deer... So, yes, we can find solace in painting them ;) Thank you!
