Autumn colors

Fall colors, Arches paper, 27 x 21 cm
Autumn colors in Toronto
The weather here has cooled. The mornings are getting quite cold and the day temperatures are hardly above 10 C. The trees got the message and quickly changed into their autumn attire. There are several places in the city, where the display of yellows, oranges, reds and greens is as picturesque as it can get. Unfortunately, it is too cold and windy to try to paint outside. I tried just taking pictures, but the sun was not cooperating either. Nevertheless, the colorful forests gave me enough inspiration to do the above sketch when I got home.
The maple tree seeds below I picked from the path, attracted by the lovely warm colors produced when touched by sun-light.

Wow Blaga, wonderful autumn colors and beautiful reflections! In the street in front of my house grows a maple tree, so I recognized the seeds immediately. They are quite a nuisance in my front garden, but your painted them beautifully!

Dear Blaga, autumn is very similar at the places where we live!
As you say, it is the sun that makes the magical colors of autumn ...
The seeds in the wind as the trees on the water's edge are painted from you with skill, poetry and feeling that I love very much in your watercolor style!

Veo que en tu casa el otoño toma un bello adorno. Es el color de las vides(viñas) en otoño a dado su nombre a mi región " La Cotización de Oro ".

Ciao Blaga, autumn is coming fast also here, day by day colors are incredibly changing and the desire to paint them is strong. As you beautifully did with these two watercolors. I like them both.

Thank you, Teresa, I'm glad you like it

Thank you, Judy! Yes, maple seeds can be a nuisance, especially with the ease with which they germinate and make you pull out tiny maples in the spring :)

Merci beaucoup, Isabelle!

Thank you for your very kind and beautiful words, Rita!

Vineyards are very beautiful in the autumn indeed, Christine. Thank you for your comment!

Thank you, Jean! We both love the colors of this season...

Thank you, Sonia! Enjoy your long summer!

Thank you so much, Tito, I'm very glad you like them!

Merci, Lydie, je suis tres content que tu les aime!

Hello Blaga:) Oh how I love your fall colors and the reflections in the water. Autumn is such a grateful subject and you did a great thing with it! Your photo is beautiful too. I love the trees in the distance. They are already a pallet in itself!

I like "fall colors", specially the reflection on the water and the emptiness on the right, adds mystery.
