Alhambra

Alhambra, watercolor, 32 x 42 cm
Water is such an important part of Alhambra, with the multitude of calm water surfaces, reflecting the beautiful buildings. I had to give this view a try. Even though it has so many geometric details, which were dragging me into fussing and fiddling.

Wow Blaga, this is so beautiful! The reflections in the water are superb, with all the subtle colours in there. Great work!

A watercolor that reflects the uniqueness of the place. WELL DONE, Blaga, because the subject was truly challenging!

Wow, Blaga, come over Sydeny! You have to teach me how to create such a beauitful architecture watercolour. Congrats!! Your work is so sensitive, I feel your personality, a very caring lady.

Thank you, ladies, for your very nice comments!
As I mentioned, I wasn't particularly happy with the result as the complexity of the subject made me stiff and fussy. I wish I was more brave with the brush strokes and values. But the subject is so beautiful, it was worth trying!
Thank you all! Have a very nice week!

Thank you, Renate, I am very flattered by your words! I've been thinking... dissatisfaction is what makes us evolve and try harder. Too much of it is discouraging, but a little dissatisfaction is always healthy.

I've taken the liberty to make a mosaic type tile out of your blog's header. Can you access PICASA albums? I've just uploaded it so you can see it:
