White Freesia

This is the corrected version with darkened background, which I think I like better (published on April 12 at 20:10 EST)

I am not particularly happy with this one. I wish I had left more white paper and made the background darker....

Not easy these flowers.
May be you are not satisfied because you don't get the picture you had in mind, anyway each painting teaches us something. In any case the pot is really well done and the flowers full of light.

Uhmmm I can smell the gorgeous perfume of Freesia... I love them! And you know Blaga you are always in time to darken the background, but this lovely white in white painting is already standing out very well, I think it is perfect. Well done!

I like it. Pretty flowers! The vase is very nice and the whole painting has a romantic feel to it :)

Thank you, Lydie! You are right, I came out of this with a number of I-should-have-s, which is the whole idea :)

Thank you for your nice words, Jane! It was too late to keep going last night, but I am thinking of working some more on it tonight, maybe...

I am glad you liked it, Ha, thank you for your comment!

I think it is a difficult subject and very well painted! Sometimes you have to leave it for a while and then look at it again, to see what is right and what you would like to change.
I like it!
