Sunny day in Aix-en-Provence

Another sunny scene in an attempt to bring some warmth and sunshine to all friends in eastern and southern  Europe, suffering through an unusually cold and snowy winter.

I love the people in the painting! They make the scene come alive. I wish I was there in the sunshine! Here in western Europe it is cold too with continuing eastern winds, brrr.

and I love how you do shadows so well. the whole scene is terrific, but those shadows show just what a sunny day it was.

What a sweet thought Blaga to bring us some warmth...we really need it , brrrr...freezing cold here. You are doing so well with buildings and prospectives ( of course not meaning that you are doing bad with the rest:-) ) and the colors used here are indeed very warm and friendly. The person up front is just glowing with light. Very well done my friend. xox

Judy, until not long ago I was so afraid to put figures in my paintings. But now I just paint them the way I see them and it is fun. What a difference practice makes! I'm sure you often have similar thoughts too.

Thank you, Lynn! Isn't it ironic how the shadows make a scene sunny :)

Thank you, Renate! I am glad if you managed to feel a warmth, even for a moment :)

It is true, Jane, I have been putting some effort in drawing the buildings with proper perspective and straight lines. I am glad that you like the colors. And I'm sure soon that very soon it will be lovely spring in "your neck of the woods" :)

Thank you, AK!

Ciao Blaga, I like very much this work and also the flower's market.
It is all very natural, the details , the colours, the light...
I like the people: the man in white, the mother and child, the employed man..
I am not so fast to reply, but I am
here...
Ciao, ciao, Floriana

Your people are so alive, you transported your audience into the scene, it's very well done. And thank you for the warm sun
