Eggshells

Eggshells study 1, 33 x 13 cm

Eggshells study 2, 13 x 33 cm
These studies were inspired by Rita's and Judy's paintings of broken eggs for the Daily Paintworks challenge. For now I am sticking to just eggshells. I wanted to explore (again) the challenge of painting white rounded objects on white background. I wish I could paint an eggshell with a couple of brushstrokes, but I find it hard to let the edges be, I keep softening them and fussing and fiddling... but it was still much fun!

Bisous !

Thank you, Maria, I'm so glad you like them!

Merci, Christine!

Thank you, Rita, Judy! Hm, I'm very surprised about the white eggs. They are the prevailing type in the stores here (and I think in Bulgaria too). Well, there's a perception that brown eggs are healthier, so maybe marketing has followed that idea... But, hey, brown ones are easier to paint! :)

Thank you, Tito! Glad you like the colors.

After some reading... the color of eggs seems to be very culturally dependent, with some people/nations preferring the white, others - the brown. And the suppliers tend to cater to that preference.

Bises !

I like so much the choice of colors and the feel of "roundness" of the eggshells. Bravo.

Hi Blaga,

Wow, I'm amazed you just started 3 years ago? You are really quick learner, aren't you? You are showing very special world. Thank you for sharing.
